Charith Asalanka was born on June 29, 1997 who is a very professional Sri Lankan cricketer. He actively participates in all three formats of the game for the national team.
He holds the position of vice-captain for the national team in T20I matches.

Career
In 2013, during a tour of England Asalanka was the opener batsman who did a wonderful performance by achieving scores of 92 and 31 in a three-day match against an English under-17 team at Loughborough.
In 2014-2015, Asalanka had the honor of captaining the national under-19 team in clashes against under-19 teams from Australia and Bangladesh.
During the five-match limited-overs series against Bangladesh under-19, he was a Sri Lanka’s top run-scorer with an impressive total of 225 runs. He did great bowling as well by ranking as the second-highest wicket-taker with eight wickets.
