The late star Charu Rohatgi was a film and TV actress, hailing from India and exclusively works in the Bollywood film and entertainment industry. She has worked in several movies and serials, but mainly known for the role played in the movie named “Ishaqzade” in which she worked alongside Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor. She played the role of Parineeti Chopra’s mother in the movie.
Career
She was a successful Indian actress and worked in various movies and serials. While one of the most popular roles in the movie “Ishaqzade” in which she played the role of Parineeti’s mother. The actress belongs to a Hindu family and raised in Calcutta where she acted in some theatre plays before joining the film industry.
She made her TV debut “Ladies Serial” which was aired on Sony TV channel. While her first movie was “Patiala House” in which she worked alongside Akshay Kumar who played a negative role.
One of her interviews, Charu Rohatgi revealed that she always wanted to be an actress but unable to start her career after her daughters’ wedding. Even she took a pause from acting after the loss of her husband. But after her daughters’ wedding, she continued her acting venture.
She has worked in several Bollywood movies including “Ek Thi Naayika” and also appeared in various serials including “Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dor Se” in which she portrayed the role of Dai Maa. While it was aired on Zee TV channel. Some of her other projects include “Is Pyaar Ko Kia Naam Doon 3”, “15 Park Avenue” (film), “Uttaran”, (serial), “Trivediyaan” (serial), “Second Marriage Dot Com” (film), “1920 London” (film) and others that are worth sharing to watch.
Her Death
She died on 15th January 2018, Mumbai, India due to cardiac attack at the age of 48. While sources confirmed that she died due to stress.
