Gajaraj is an Indian actor who mainly works in the Tamil film industry. He is popularly known for the role played in his debut movie “Pizza” which was released in 2012 and directed by his son, Karthik Subharaj. Also, he appeared in some hit movies, such as; “Mundaspatti”(2014), “Jigarthanda”,(2014), “Rajinimurugan”,(2016), and “Kabali”,(2016). His son, Karthik is a film director and also appeared in various movies as well. He was born and raised in Madurai, India where he studied and lived along with his family.
Career
He started his career with a movie named “Pizza’ which was released in 2012 and directed by his son, Karthik Subharaj. Since then, he appeared in various movies in which he played a variety of roles and earned much recognition.
Later, he appeared in another Tamil movie named “Mundaspatti” which was among the best releases of the year 2014. Afterward, he got various opportunities to work
After some time, he then again appeared in his son, Karthik’s directorial project named “Iraivi” and “Jigarthanda” which was released in 2014.
In 2016, he appeared in the movie named “Kabali” in which he played the role of Marthandam. Also, he worked for “Gang 43”. Alongside this, he appeared in small roles as well and marked his identity in the Tamil cinema.
Interestingly, his son is a multi-skilled person who is blessed with writing skills and has written few scripts as well. Moreover, he did engineering and also performed in drama and stages during college days.
.His son has directed 15 short films and has written the story of some low-budget movies, like; “Pizza”. While directing the movie “Jigarthanda” got immense love and recognition from fans and viewers.
