He made his debut project in the film industry in the 90s through the most popular biographical drama Bandit Queen in which he appeared as Ashok Chand. Also, he has worked in most popular movies including “Dil Se” starring superstar Shahrukh Khan, Manisha Koirala, and Malaika Arora. In 2007, he appeared in various hit movies including “Chhal”, “Black Friday” and “Dil Hai Tumhara” starring Arjun Rampal, Preity Zinta, Mahima Chaudhry, and Jimmy Shergil. While some of his other projects may include “Hazaron Khuwahishen Aisi” released in 2005, “Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar” released in 2000, “Blackmail” released in 2018, “Aks” released in 2001, and the list goes on. However, Gajraj Rao has gained much recognition especially when he worked alongside the late, legendary star, Irrfan Khan in the murder mystery drama “Talvar” which was released in the year 2015. In the movie, he played a negative role for which he got nominated for the IIFA Award and also honored with many awards. Apart from acting, he has produced many movies and also has been part of various campaigns, videos, and web-series.
