Career Journey
Jia started her career as a makeup artist in a beauty salon, the Depilex beauty parlor at a very young age. When she was at the age of 19 years, she was approached by a well-known brand to showcase their dresses. She accepted that offer, as she had a keen interest in fashion and show business. She made her modeling debut and walked on-ramp for the first time for Wrangler Jeans. She also served as a commercials model for the Wrangler brand and appeared in many fashion shoots.
Since then, she featured the covers of many famous fashion magazines and has also walked on the runway for various famous brands of Pakistan. She is also a dancer and has made her debut in many item songs of the Lollywood.
Jia has also made her Lollywood debut as a lead role of Kiran with the Syed Noor’s directed Urdu-language romantic film “Deewane Tere Pyar Ke” opposite Moammar Rana in 1991. The film tells the story of a Mauritius girl who born from a Pakistani father and Indian mother. She visit Pakistan and falls in love with a poor guy.
Jia Ali got a huge acclamation and fame from critics and the audience. Afterword, she has worked in several Pakistani hit films. Her other hit film was the Pakistani Urdu language romance/musical film, Reema Khan’s directed and produced the film “Love Mein Ghum” along with Reema Khan and Moammar Rana.
After becoming a success story of Lollywood, she made drama debut in 2007 and has played in numerous hit drama. Her notable performance as the lead role in the Usman Mustafa’s written drama series “Qissa-e-Ulfat” opposite Faisal Rehman. The drama was aired on Aaj TV.
In 2016, she has also played the side role of the super hit Pakistani action war film/historical film “Saya-e-Khuda-e-Zuljalal” along with Javed Sheikh, Firdous Jamal, and Moammar Rana, and Rachel Gill, of 2016. The film explores the history of Pakistan from its Independence Day from 1947 to the present day.
