Kaali Venkat is an actor, hailing from Kudaiyadevanpatti, India mainly works in Tamil movies as a supporting actor. He was born on 16th November 1980. He loved to act in dramas during school days so he always took part in such kind of activities to hone his skills. After completing his studies, he moved to Chennai in 1997 to pursue acting as a career. In Chennai, he did several jobs like a salesman in order to survive there until he met a famed director, Vijay Prabhakaran. Kaali Venkat admires him as he believes that Prabhakaran is the guru for him who helped him to move to the Tamil cinema.
Career
After meeting a director, Prabhakaran, Kaali Venkat expressed his wish to work in the film industry. Later, Prabhakaran approached him for his movie “Thasaiyinai Thee Sudinum” which was directed by Vijay Prabhakaran. Unfortunately, the movie didn’t get positive reviews and it got failed.
Afterward, Kaali Venkat started appearing in short movies and also appeared on television shows including “Naalaya Iyakkunar” and he also won the Best Actor Award in season-3 of the show.
Later, he appeared in feature films and gained attention and a huge appreciation for outstanding performances. Since then, he became popular and caught the attention of everyone.
However, he then made his broad career and appeared in various movies including “Kaathadi”, “Urumeen”, “Eetti” and so on.
In 2016, he got critical acclaim for his role as a drunkard father in the movie “Irudhi Suttru” and as a faithful friend of a politician in the movie “Kodi”.
