Kent Masters King is a famous American actress. She is best known for her appearances at the daytime soap opera General Hospital from 2005 to 2010 as Dr. Lainey Winters. She grew up in Los Angeles, California. The daughter of Dr. Richard D. King is an Egyptologist and her mother, Alfreda Masters is a retired actress.
In 1996, she attended the University of Southern California to study filmmaking, where she majored in cinema and television and graduated.
Career
Kent King began her career as Julie Williams on the primetime soap opera television series Knots Landing (TV series,1988-1992). She filled in for Victoria Rowell in 2000 when Rowell took a break from The Young and the Restless (2000). In 2003, she then joined Port Charles briefly as the mysterious and beautiful Imani.
Kent King appeared in the sitcom television series All of Us (January 13, 2004) as Alanna and began a recurring role in General Hospital on April 1, 2005. In 2000, she appeared in the sitcom The Parkers that broadcasted from 1999 to 2004. She later appeared in the comedy film The Wash as Michelle in 2001 and an action film Love and a Bullet as Cynda Griffie.
Her other television credits include Hill Street Blues (TV series, 1987), Knots Landing (TV series, 1979), The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1992), The Wayans Bros. (TV series, 1998), The Jamie Foxx Show (1998), and Smart Guy (1999).
