Meka Srikanth is an uprising Indian movie actor, who is mainly recognized for his works in Telugu movies. He has earned one Filmfare Award South and two state Nandi Awards. He has appeared in movies like Swarabhishekam, which earned National Film Award for the Best Feature Telugu for the year 2004, and Virodhi, premiered at Indian view segment, at International Film Festival 2011. Sri Rama Rajyam also had an exclusive screening at Global Film Festival on 28th November, 2011.
Meka Srikanth teamed up with renowned film directors like Krishna Vamsi, S.V. Krishna Reddy, G. Neelakanta Reddy, Jayanth C. Paranjee, K. Meka Srikanth was born in Gangavathi, Karnataka, India on 23rd March 1968. He completed his B.Com in CSI Commerce College, University of Karnataka. He also received a diploma from Hyderabad film Institute. On 20th January 1997, Meka Srikanth tied the knot with Ooha, and the couple was blessed with two sons named Rohan and Roshan and a daughter named Medha. He presently resides in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Meka was born to Jhansi Lakshmi and Parameswara Rao. He also has a sister named Nirmala and a brother named Anil Meka.
In the year 1990, Meka Srikanth got 6 months training in acting at Madhu Film Institute. His first movie titled Peoples Encounter was released in the year 1991. Meka portrayed trivial roles as supporting artist and as villain in his early career. He emerged as a leading actor with the movie titled One by Two. Meka Srikanth has appeared in more than 100 Telugu movies. His first megahit movie as a leading actor was Taj Mahal, which was directed by Muppalaneni Shiva and produced by Dr. D. Ramanaidu which was released in the year1995.
