Mohammad Ilyas, a young and talented Pakistani cricketer who is just at the age of 20. He was born on 21st March, 1999 in Peshawar and belongs to a Pashtun family.
Career Journey
Ilyas started his professional cricket career in the late 2018 with the List A cricket debut for Peshawar’s squad in the Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup tournament of session 2018–19, held on 13th September 2018. On the next month, on 11th October 2018, he stepped to the first-class cricket debut for the same team, Peshawar in the same tournament that was 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He progressed very well in this series and took a five-wicket haul in every innings of the series.
Not only this, Ilyas has also named for Pakistan’s the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup squad in December 2018. On the next year, in July 2019, Ilyas was again named for the Belfast Titans’s squad in the inaugural edition of the Euro T20 Slam tournament. Unfortunately, the tournament was cancelled due to some reasons. In the month of September 2019, the player was selected once again in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s squad for the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament.
As concerned as the Twenty20 frenchise debut of the cricketer, he has been playing T20 cricket since 2019 in the Pakistan Premier League where he also made his first his Twenty20 debut for the Multan Sultans squad in the 2019 Pakistan Super League, held on 15th February 2019.
