Aisha Dee is a 28 years old Australian actress and singer who is most popular for her role in the TV series The Bold Type which aired in 2017-2021. She has appeared in a number of TV shows including The Saddle Club, Dead Gorgeous, I hate my Teenage Daughter, and Channel Zero.  Born in 1993 in Gold coat, Queensland, Australia, Aisha is biracial and has suffered much due to this. She bagged the role of Desi Baggins in The Saddle Club in 2008 at the age of 13 where she lived with her costars and chaperone in a house and loved that experience. 1- Origin

Dee is biracial that is her father is African American while her mother is Anglo Australian. Aisha was brought up by a single mother who is an ex opera singer.

2- Kickstarting Career

Aisha has always been a fan of Sesame Street and obtained her dream of acting while watching it in her childhood. When she was six, she used to skim through the yellow pages looking for agents and had even wanted to give an audition but was refused by her mother. Eventually, she landed her first TV role in The Saddle Club and since then she has done many TV shows.

3- Beauty with a Brain

Aisha obtained her Higher education from Werribee Secondary School and then later graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney in 2008. After completing her education she was located in L.A.

4- Struggle with Anxiety

Aisha struggled with mental health for quite some time and there was even a time when she had to sit at home due to surgery and was going through a breakup at the same time. In fact, her role as Kat in The Bold Type was welcome to her during such a time and taught her a lot.

Dee has always felt closer to her roles and learns something from each of her roles. She mourns her roles and even their friends after she has done playing them.

6- Spoke out against Discrimination

In 2020, inspired by her character of Kate in The Bold type, she took to Instagram to speak out about the lack of diversity. Her role taught her how to speak against discrimination and take a stand for herself. She spoke out about how she was always an outcast due to her skin color during her childhood and how she found solace in poetry, books, and TV.

Aisha was nominated twice in the category of Summer TV star in 2017 and 2018 for the Teen Choice Awards for her role in The Bold Type.

8- Singing Career

Aisha believes she would have been a singer if not an actor. She has also contributed to the music in The Saddle Club. She also released the album Ice In My Rose-EP in2020.
