Ravi Kapoor aka Jeetendra was born in Amritsar, Punjab, India, and was born to Amarnath and Krishna Kapoor who were into the imitation jewelry business. And what’s more? Jeetendra was a classmate of
Rajesh Khanna as they attended the same school.

In 1959, he debuted with the V Shantaram’s directorial titled ‘Navrang’. Prior to this, he supplied jewelry to V.Shantaram who then approached by casting him for his movie in which Jeetendra worked alongside Sandhya.
