8 Things You Didn’t Know About Lauren Graham
1. Raised By Her Father
As a child, she had “the best of both worlds,” as her parents split when she was five, and she was raised solely by her father (until he remarried about 10 years later). She sees their interactions as “a lot of fun.” [1]
2. Rode Horses In Her Teens
As a teen, she competed in horseback riding before becoming interested in acting. And if you ride horses, you understand the dedication that comes with that equestrian passion—you must also be comfortable cleaning out the stalls, which Lauren did with ease. [2]
3. Dated Mathew Perry
Lauren Graham’s photographs with none other than Matthew Perry exist because they actually dated! Before you get too excited, it was only a short-lived relationship in 2003.
4. An Educated Person
Graham earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Barnard College. She subsequently continued her study by earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting Performance from Southern Methodist University in Texas.
5. Published Author
Her first novel, Someday, Someday, Maybe, was published in 2014. It’s a fictional story about a young actor fighting to make it in New York City (sound familiar?). It launched to “charming,” “sweet,” and utterly “new” reviews. [3]
6. Found Her Love Interest On The Set Of Parent Hood
All kidding aside, a profound friendship connection between Graham and her co-star, Peter Krause, made its way into something romantic as the two simply couldn’t stop chatting about all the things they liked, such as “books and family.” And she simply had new knowledge and regard for love and life after that.
7. Not Comfortable To Watch Herself On Screen
Lauren Graham also revealed that she never watched Gilmore Girls during its lengthy run. She added that watching oneself on film was never comfortable for her, therefore she chose not to do it. [4]
8. Loves Cooking
Lauren Graham, unlike her renowned character Lorelai Gilmore, is an excellent cook. Although it may come as a surprise to you, she is not at all like Lorelai. One of their most notable differences is that Graham enjoys cooking.
