Nicola Walker is a familiar face in British television. She is an English actor whose main reason for fame is starring in various programs on British television. She was born on 15 May 1970. She is married to Barnaby Kay. He is another famous actor, belonging to a family that has produced various actors including his father Richard Kay and his brother Adam. Even his grandfather, Arthur Kay was a famous theatre actor. They have a son together who is named Harry, after the character of her co-star in spooks as Harry Pearce.
Career Journey
Walker started taking acting classes only so that she would be able to talk to boys. Later, her actual acting career started with Cambridge footlights as she attended college at New Hall, Cambridge. Her first acting experience was with her college mother Perkins.
Soon after graduation, she was offered a place at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Her first role on television was in 1997. She appeared as Gypsy Jones in an adaptation of “A dance to the music of times” by Channel 4. She also appeared in two series of Steven Moffat’s sitcom Chalk.
Her main role which is a reason for all her fame is playing Dl Taylor in a thriller of ITV Touching Evil in 1997. She has since appeared on a number of television shows with the latest being the role of a divorce lawyer in BBC’s “The split”. She also has a large experience of working in theatre, radio, and film as well. She has also given the voice of the character Síle de Tansarville, in the English version of the game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
