Ritika Singh’s skills are not just limited to acting, but she is also a great mixed martial artist. She is mainly known for her acting prowess as she appeared in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi movies. Moreover, she competed at the 2009 Asian Indoor Games & later took part in the Super Fight League. Ritika Singh was born on 16th December 1994, Mumbai, India where she raised and grew up along with siblings and parents. Being a passionate girl, she decided to join a film line to pursue a passion for acting.
Career
She started her professional career when a director, Sudha Kongara Prasad approached her at Super Fight League, and later she gave a tryout for a lead role in the bilingual movie named “Saala Khadoos” which was released in 2016.
After this competition, various filmmakers approached her to act as an actress in their movies instead of an actress to act as a boxer. So, she appeared in a Tamil movie named “Irudhi Suttru” for which she learned her role in writing dialogues in Hindi. The film was co-produced by R.Madhavan and Rajkumar Hirani, who appeared in the movie as a lead.
Apart from acting, she made a big name in the field of mixed martial arts so she got trained as a kickboxer at her childhood under the supervision and guidance of her father.
Achievements
For excellent performance in the movie, she received the Special Mention at the 63rd National Film Awards. While among other prestigious achievements, she was awarded the Filmfare Awards thrice in 3 different language films, such as; “Hindi-Saala Khadoos”, “Tamil-Irudhi Suttru” and “Telugu-Guru” for the same role.
