Rohail Nazir is a Pakistani right-armed Wicket-keeper batsman, under-19 cricketer. He was born on 10th October 2001. He belongs to the capital city of Pakistan and has been represented Islamabad in many domestic tournaments.
Career Journey
Nazir started his career from the domestic cricket of Pakistan as representing Islamabad’s squad. He played Twenty20 cricket for Islamabad’s squad on 22nd November 2017 in the National T20 Cup of session 2017–18.
On the next month, in December 2017, he was selected for Pakistan’s squad to play in the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. At the same time, he was also bought by the Islamabad United squad as an emerging player for the 2018 PSL.
Nazir’s career first-class debut was in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament, held on 1st September 2018. In this match, he scored 130 runs for Islamabad in the first inning of the tournament. He made his first List A debut on 6th September 2018 for the same time in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup
He was the vice-captain of Pakistan’s squad as well as the leading run-scorer in the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup tournament, held in Bangladesh, in 2019. Nazir scored 302 runs in the five matches of this tournament that also included a century in the final due to which they won the match.
In December 2019, he was selected for Pakistan’s squad as the captain of the team in the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In March 2020, he is playing in the draft of the 2020 Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the Multan Sultans franchise in the Emerging category.
